Join this peaceful calm water wildlife Experience
Bear Watching
Enjoy a scenic boat-ride on the calm waters of the Clayoquot Sound inlets. Only 20 minutes away and you will feel like you are in a different world, so quiet and peaceful.
The protected beaches in the inlets are home for many black bears in this region. After their winter hibernation, late spring to October, they will come down to the shoreline at low tide to move rocks over and feed on crab and other shellfish underneath. We get as close as possible to watch the bears without disturbing them and you can hear them moving the rocks and crunching on crab. It is also possible to see the cubs learning from their mother, climbing up trees and playing on the beach.
On this 2-2.5 hour trip, you may also get to see other wildlife such as seals and bald eagles.
Come and join us on this calm and scenic boat-ride to the bears. It is also great for photographers
